Fitness for a Cause

Join your S.W.E.A.T. instructors to raise money for Fallen Officers Remembered.

This Saturday, November 2,  several of the S.W.E.A.T. Fitness instructors will be teaching at Fitness for a Cause to help raise money for a great organization.

Kerrine Dorris, a senior at Greater Nanticoke Area High School, organized the event as her senior project. She partnered with Gina and her organzation Fallen Officers Remembered to host Fitness for a Cause.

Money raised at this event will help the Fallen Officers Remembered organization pay for bulletproof vests for veterans, police officers and military police officers.

Fitness for a Cause will be held at the Nanticoke Armory, at 490 East Main St. Registration begins at 11 am with fitness sessions beginning at noon. If you are unable to make the registration period, don’t worry because someone will be working the front desk throughout the event.

The event features many different kinds of fitness classes including cardio kickboxing, hip hop fitness, Zumba, R.I.P.P.E.D., Piloxing and Yoga. Attending events like this is a great opportunity to try out different types of fitness classes.

Admission is $15 and includes 10 tickets for the door prize raffle. There will be 17 baskets raffled off at the end of the event.
